Night of the Living Dummy VS Puppet master
We open up on “Raven”, a young woman, roughly 20 years of age wearing a black hoodie, black jeans, and big winter boots. She is also wearing a lot of bracelets. She has long black hair with one purple streak. Strolling through a field full of trees, she softly hums to herself. She lets out a gasp and waves at someone ahead of her as she starts to run to the person grabbing her on the shoulder.
Her friend “Jess” is small and cute. She has short light brown hair, light brown eyes, a cute little nose, and a birth mark on her chin which looks like a bump. She wears a lime green hoodie with dog ears, black jeans, and boots. She has a ton of ear piercings and one nose ring.
“RAVEN!” shouts the friend, in a angry tone.
Raven lets out a sigh, then a soft giggle. She shrugs then jokingly says “Sorry, I could have sworn you herd me Jess.... I am sorry tho!”
“Its fine, just.. be aware I can't hear that well in my left ear..” Jess replies, as she shakes her head and looks over.
“Mhm?” Raven replies, as she turns to see what Jess is looking at.
“It’s nothing. I just remembered, are we still checking out that old antique shop today?” asks Jess.
Raven nods with delight as she says “Yeah! Should be fun, might pick something up to add to my collection.” Jess shudders and gives Raven a unsure look.
“What?” Raven asks, with a bit of worry in her voice.
“Well nothing, Raven, but your collection is rather creepy...” Jess replies with a shudder. “They... just kinda, ruin the relationship, you know? I mean they are cool! Don't get me wrong, Raven. They are cool! I just get creeped out easily..” Jess continues.
Raven slowly nods “Well I'm sorry you find them creepy, but they mean the world to me... ever since I saw that puppet show back in '98 I've always wanted to entertain kids. Then, I came across the puppets in late 2006...It was meant to be.. We've done shows and....”
Jess quickly puts her index finger over Ravens mouth and whispers “I know you love them; I'm sorry if I upset you, hun. Come on, lets check out the antique shop.” Raven lets out a giggle as the two hug and walk off. The sun begins to set as the two make it to a old looking building labeled “Roy’s Antiques”. The two girls open the door. As they enter, a bell rings. “Oh wow! Look, Jess!” Raven shouts in delight as she runs over to a bunch of old dolls. Jess laughs and walks over to her, passing tons of creepy dolls and other antiques. Raven begins to look through all the dolls.
“May I help you girls?” says a big burly man. Jess looks up at the man.
“Are you Roy?”, asks Jess. The man nods “I be he, indeed.” Roy replies. Jesse and Raven let out a soft laugh.
Jess nods, “How long have you been here?” she asks Roy.
“I opened up shop ‘bout two weeks ago” Roy replies. Roy looks over at Raven, who is still observing the dolls.
Jess glares at Roy and quickly says “What you looking at?”
“Mhm?” Roy replies, “Oh, I just noticed she really likes dolls” Roy continues as he holds up his index finger and says “I'll be right back. I think I got something you might like, young lady.” Roy walks to the back of the shop. Jess and Raven exchange glances; Jess shrugs.
Roy shouts from the back room, “Hang on ladies, I almost found him. Damn thing is buried behind a pile of stuff I haven't organized yet!” Raven confusingly looks over at Jess. “Aha! I found it!” Roy, shouts. Roy walks out of the back room, holding a big case and places it on the counter and smiles at the girls.
Raven looks at the case, then back up to Roy, as she says “Whats in it?”
“Ohh, I got this from a old ventriloquist.” Roy says.
Raven looks at Roy with delight. “Pleaseeee open it!”
Roy opens up the case, showing a Dummy with stiff brown hair, strange green eyes, wearing a tux with a nametag which reads “Slappy”.
Raven’s eyes light up. “Oh my god......Jess” Raven says as she taps Jess on the shoulder with excitement.
“What?” Jess replies.
“THATS THE DUMMY I SAW BACK IN '98! THAT IS HIM! TO A TEE!” Raven joyfully shouts. Then she turns to Roy and asks “How much?”
“Price does not matter. He has been here for awhile. I doubt I will ever sell him. Plus, he seems to hold a lot of childhood memories.” says Roy.
Raven looks at Roy, unsure of what to say. she studders, “A-are you sure? Like super sure?” says Raven.
Roy nods. “OH MY GOD!” Raven shouts as she jumps up and down with joy.
Jess smirks as she says “Thank you, Roy. You made her day”
“Oh more then day!” Raven joyfully says.
“No problem” Roy replies. “you enjoy.”
“Oh I will! Thank you!” Raven says. Raven picks up the Dummy and hugs it tightly.
Jess giggles then lets out a sigh “Alright champ, lets get you home”
“Alrighty. Thanks again, Roy!” says Raven. Roy smiles and waves good bye. Jess and raven walk out of the antique store. The door shuts.
“Best of luck......”Roy quietly says.
As the sky slowly darkens, the autumn leaves blow through the wind. Jess and raven hold hands as they walk down the street, “Raven?” Jess asks.
Raven looks over at Jess “mhm?” Raven replies.
“Does.. your mother know?” Jess says softly. Raven shakes her head.
“N..no.. I'm scared” raven replies.
Jess sighs, then nods. “one day at a time, I guess.” Jess says softly. The two stop walking and look at each other.
“I hope.. you aren’t upset with me, hun...” Raven says with a worried tone.
“Nooooooo, no. I understand. It is hard... but, baby steps. Don't worry. I'm not upset. You better get home, wouldn't want her to worry.” Raven hugs Jess as sneaks a kiss on the cheek. Raven blushes, and gasps.. “Jess.... my mom might see.” Raven says.
“I'm sorry, Raven” Jess replies.
“It’s alright.. I should go tho.. I'm sorry” Raven says. Jess nods then hugs Raven again and walks off. Raven walks up her front steps, and unlocks her door, and walks in. “Mom, I'm home.” Raven shouts. A womanly voice can be herd from another room.
“Ohhh hi, dear! How was your day with Jess?” asks Ravens mother.
“I found something amazing! It's the dummy I saw at that puppet show back in 98!” Raven joyfully says.
“Whaaat? Ohh hang on dear. Let me see; hang on, I'm coming.” says Raven's mother. Raven’s mother (Brenda) enters the room. She has long, reddish hair and appears to be roughly 45 years old wearing a purple shirt, cargo pants, and glasses. She is holding a rag and a cup. “Sorry dear, I was doing the dishes.” Brenda says, as she puts the cup down. “Alright, let me see.” says Brenda. Raven opens the puppet case, showing Slappy. Brenda’s eyes light up. “Oh wow! That is him! How much did he cost you dear?” Brenda asks.
“That's the thing,” Raven replys. “He didn't cost anything! The owner just gave him to me, saying that the dummy never sold.” Raven says.
Brenda makes a surprised look as she says, “Well then, that's great!”
Raven nods, “I know! I am so happy!” Raven joyfully says. “I'm gonna go upstairs now, mom.” Raven continues, as she walks up the stairs.
“Alright, dear.” Brenda replies.
Raven enters her room. It's rather dark because she never turns on the lights. A curtain is slightly open letting in a beam of light. She turns to a big trunk and smiles. She knells down before it and opens it, revealing five puppets. One has a white face with long white hair. His eyes are holes, hollowed out of his face like that of a skeleton and he has an eerie, curved smile. He is dressed in a black fadora hat and a black trench coat. He has a hook for one hand and a knife for the other. His name is Blade. Another has a tiny head, but a big, muscular body wearing a large red turtle neck sweater and fingerless gloves and gray pants. His name is Pinhead. Another wears a red jester type shirt with a red jester hat, purple pants, and black slippers. He has a jolly smile and his face is constructed of 3 pieces, assembled vertically. His name is Jester. Another is wearing a military/sergeant style suit with long boots. He has a rather grunt look on his face and a big drill coming out of the top of his head. His name is Tunneler. The last puppet is a female humanlike puppet with long black hair, a scarf, a pink can-can girl style dress. She has pale skin, black eyes, and she is wearing dark purple lipstick. Her name is Ms. Leech.
Raven smiles at the puppets, and says, joyfully “Guys I found him!” She opens Slappy's case and holds him up. “This is him! I can’t believe it! It seemed like yesterday when I saw Jimmy O’james and this guy on stage.” Raven says. She stares at Slappy. “I recall there was a accident; Slappy called a kid a rude name or something.. it was weird..” Raven says softly. “Well, it doesn't matter. I have him now. You know, I even got to meet Jimmy O’James after the show! I wish I had that photo of us.. maybe mom has it. Ill ask her later” Raven continues.
Raven looks out the window. And sighs. “I should tell her tho....” She slowly turns to blade and pinhead. “I should, really.......me and Jess.. have been.. 'together' for years.. but I'm just scared of how she will react... but like Jess said.. baby steps.” She turns to Tunneler, Jester and Leechwoman. And says softly “its late guys.. i should head to sleep..”
She stands up to place slappy back into his case.. but she sees a note at the bottom of the case. She picks it up and reads it. “huh?... Karru marri... Odonna Loma....molonu karrano” raven says confusingly. “Okaaay then” Raven says, as she puts Slappy back into his case.
She walks over to her bed, pauses and looks over, “ahh shoot,I'm sorry. Leech woman, I told you, you could watch over me tonight.” Raven giggles as she walks over to the puppets and picks up leech woman, and places her by her bed side. Raven crawls into bed and kisses leech woman on the cheek. “Thanks for watching out for me... I wish Jess was a little more.. relaxed with you guys.. if she knew.. eh.. I guess it doesn't matter.. night Leechwoman, night Blade, Pinhead, Tunneler, Jester and goodnight to you Slappy!” Raven says as she slowly dozes off to sleep.
The room becomes fully engulfed in darkness as the stroke of midnight arrives. The sounds of foot steps can be heard creaking down the stairs. A cat's hiss can be herd, “Get out of my way.” says a strange voice. The cat lets out a meow and walks away
The voice lets out a unpleasant grunt and walks into a room. We see a wooden hand reach for a rope and a cloth. The voice, lets out a raspy laugh. The morning sun begins to beam through Raven’s room as she awakens. She looks over and notices Leechwoman is gone. Raven panicly looks around for Leech woman. “Wait... I think mom said she was gonna show her to the girls at work today..” raven says to herself. Raven then nods, and lets out a sigh. She walks over to Slappy’s case, opens it and notices he seems to be in a different position than he was last night. She looks at the dummy with a confused stare, as she turns to the puppets. “Did............. nevermind, I gotta go. Jess is meeting me at the graveyard. I'll see you guys later, oh.. Pinhead, keep a eye on slappy. Ok?” raven says. As raven shuts the door, we see Slappy’s eyes slowly shift.
The sound of wind can be heard, as the autumn leaves dance in the wind. Raven strolls through the graveyard, brushing her hands along tomb stone after tomb stone.
She walks past tree after tree as beautiful orange, red, brown, and black leaves blow through the wind. She comes to an area of the graveyard with a sun dial and four benches sitting opposite of each other. Jess, sitting on a bench, is smiling and waving at Raven. Raven waves back with a smile on her face and walks over to Jess and sits down beside her.
They hug.
“So whats new, hun? Hows the new addition to the family? Aha” Jess asks.
“Good” Raven replies.
Jess stares at Raven with a unsure look, as she asks. “Something wrong?”
Raven looks back to Jess. “Well you see, Leech woman disappeared last night. I'm not sure where she is.. I think mom may have taken her to work” Raven says with a worried tone in her voice.
“Funny thing, I saw your mother this morning. Normally, when she has one of your puppets, she keeps it in her purse, like the way those preppy girls carry their small ass dogs, ya know?” Jess replies
“She didnt?” Raven asks.
“No” Jess replies.
Raven has a unsure look on her face. “Well I'm sure she will turn up soon, hun. Don’t sweat it okay?” Jess says. Raven nods as the two girls stand up and walk off.
“Heh..... now the real fun starts” says Slappy, as he opens up the case from the inside.
Slappy sits up and looks over to the puppets. “You little freaks cased me some problems last night. She will be mine. There is nothing you can do about it. You do anything to stop me and I will hurt her. Got it!?” slappy says.
Blade turns to pinhead. Pinhead lets out a grunt. Tunneler spins his drill
“Don’t start with me, chrome dome” Slappy says angrily.
Jester spins his head around showing his sad face.
“Ah, poor baby. Sad are we? I'll return your girl friend, when im done with raven and her mother” slappy says.
Blade lets out a hiss.
“Yeah, whatever” Slappy replies.
Slappy walks over to a closet door and opens it, revealing the “lost” Leechwoman, tied up with a pice of cloth covering her mouth. She struggles get get out of the ropes.
Slappy lets out a raspy laugh as he says “Don’t bother toots. They are tight. Hahahahahaha” slappy laughs insanely for a few moments. “None of you can stop me. Got that? You try anything, she and the girl gets it! Got it!?”
The puppets stare at slappy, Jester spins his head around to an angry emotion.
“Oh?” Slappy replies, as he leans in to Jester. Slappy lowers his eye brows and gives Jester a rather angry look, and slaps him across the face. Pinhead darts at Slappy. Slappy jumps out of the way and grabs Leech woman. “Neh neh neh” Slappy says while holding leech woman. “This isn't my first time dealing with other living puppets, so don't take me so lightly.
Try anything, and this one gets turned into scrap wood”
Pinhead angrily punches a wall and walks back to the trunk.
“Just as I thought” Slappy smugly says, as he puts Leech woman back in the closet and locks the door.
Jess and Raven can be seen walking down her street holding hands. Raven stops Jess. Jess turns around “mhm? Something wrong dear?” Jess asks.
“I'm telling her. Tonight.” Raven replies.
Jess’s eyes light up with joy as she says “R..really? You are gonna tell your mom?”
Raven nods “I’m tired of hiding this. I love you, Jess. And she.. needs to know... hell, how long have we been dating? A long time. I'm tired of hiding it from my own mother..” Raven softly says.
Jess smiles and hugs Raven tightly.
“Lets go wait for her.” Raven says.
Jess nods as the two girls walk down the street. Raven unlocks her door, and walks in. A loud gasp can be herd, as raven covers her mouth. Slappy turns, and peeks from the top of the stairs. “It's show time, heh” Slappy says.
“Whats wrong?” Jess asks as she enters the house. Raven’s Living room is torn apart. Sofas are flipped over and the glass kitchen table is smashed. A creaking can be herd from the stairs. Jess holds on to raven. We see slappy walk down the stairs. He gives the girls a rather bidder stare down.
“Welcome home, slave” Slappy says, while staring at Raven.
Raven and Jess stare at Slappy in shock.
“Hehehe” Slappy laughs.
“What do you want!?” asks Jess, as she holds on to raven.
“Her.” Slappy replies, pointing to Raven. “She is my slave. She spoke the words that brought me back to life. 'Karru marri Odonna Loma molonu karrano'. You and I are One now, Raven, you are my slave.” Jess and raven bolt to the kitchen. Slappy smerks. “You can run, but you can not hide” Slappy says.
We see pinhead holding up blade as he picks at lock to the closet door. The door unlocks. Blade quickly darts to Leech woman and cuts the ropes off her. Pinhead removes the cloth covering her mouth. All the puppets nod and quickly rush down stairs.
Slappy grabs a knife and jumps at Jess. Jess pushes raven out of the way. Slappy wraps himself around Jess’s neck holding the knife to her throat. “Listen, clearly Raven, you will obey me. You are my slave, got it? I....... huh?” Slappy looks over, and sees the puppets. Jess quickly flips Slappy off of her neck to the ground. Jess quickly rushes to raven. Slappy looks over to the girls, then over to the puppets.“... fine, I'll deal with you little freaks first”
Slappy walks over to the puppets. Blade jumps up at Slappy, but Slappy dodges and Blade slams to the ground.
“Hahahah!” Slappy laughs insanely. Pinhead grabs Slappy by the ankles and slams him to the ground. Slappy lets out a moan of pain as he tries to regain his composure, he throws pinhead across the room. Tunneler starts to spin his drill and darts to Slappy who quickly jumps out of the way. Slappy then kicks Tunneler down, who bashes his head on a wall. Tunneler slides down the wall and falls down. Jester jumps up at slappy clinging on to his neck. Slappy rolls his eyes, and grabs jester throwing him across the room. Slappy pulls out his knife, and walks over to Jess and Raven.
“This Family belongs to me!” Slappy shouts.
Pinhead quickly darts up and tackles slappy slaming him to the ground, pinhead pins him down with his massive hands.
The other puppets walk over. Blade jabs his knife hand in Slappys right hand. Slappy screams out in pain. Blade then quickly puts his hook hand into Slappy’s mouth, keeping it open. Blade and pinhead look over at leech woman and nod. Leech woman walks over to Slappy and slaps him in the face. She then climbs on top of him and begins to gag, as a giant leech comes out of her mouth.
She barfs it down Slappy’s throat; the leech wiggles down and slowly turns green.
Slappy’s eyes roll back into his head. Pinhead lets go of the dummy who lays there lifeless. The puppets nod, pinhead picks up the leech and steps on it popping it like a water balloon. A strange green gas comes out and flies away. The puppets stare at it flying out of the window.
Jess stares at the puppets in horror.
“They wont hurt you, Jess” Raven says softly.
“Huh?” Jess replies confused.
“They have protected me and my mom for years. They could protect you too..” Raven softly says.
Jess stares at the puppets, who stare back. Jester spins his head to his happy emotion, he then waves at Jess.
Jess studders, as she says “Y..y......eah.. I’d like that. I'm sorry this is just so..... sudden, but... I know I'll get use to it. After all, I got you, Raven” The two girls hug as the front door opens.
“OH MY GOD! RAVEN, DARLING PLEASE TELL ME YOU ARE OKAY!?” Brenda shouts.
Raven and Jess walk into the main room, holding hands. Raven softly says “Yes mom, we are alright. We were attacked... but... we are okay now..”
The puppets walk in , pinhead lugging slappy’s body. The girls hold there hands tighter. Brenda looks at the puppets then to the girls.
“Was... slappy alive?” asks Brenda. The girls nod. Brenda lets out a sigh.
“I know you two are together. Raven, I'm not ashamed of you, at all hun.. it’s different than what i believe in, but I'm happy for you and i love you.” says Brenda.
Raven smiles and runs over to hug her mother. Raven turns to the puppets
“Please just get him out of here...” raven says. Pinhead nods. Brenda walks over to pinhead. She picks up slappy.
“I know where to get rid of this for good” Brenda says. The girls and brenda walk out side and Brenda throws the lifeless dummy in the car. “Get in. All of you.” Brenda says, as she starts up her car.
The girls and puppets get in the car. Brenda drives down to a river. Brenda and the girls walk out of the car, Brenda tosses slappy down the river.
“He wont bother us anymore. From this height... I doubt if he’d even make it to the bottom.” Brenda says.
“Mom?” raven says.
Brenda turns to her daughter.
“Do you really, you know.. accept this?” Raven asks.
Brenda smiles. “Yes. Silly. I love you.” Brenda says as she hugs the girls. The puppets can be seen in the car. Jester pats pinhead on the back. Tunneler pats Leech woman on the back. Blade stares out the window, as Jester taps him on the shoulder, as if asking “is everything okay?” Blade shrugs it off.
The girls walk back to the car and sit in the back seat. The car pulls away. As the sun sets, leaves dance in the Autumn wind. We see Slappy face first on the ground.
“HEY! Look! A doll!” a young girl shouts. Two kids run up to slappy, brush the dirt off of his face.
“Oh wow! I'm keeping him!” says the boy.
“Nuh uh” says the little girl “mom won't let you” the girl continues. The boy gives his sister a bothered look as he looks at Slappy and takes the card out of his pocket. The child reads the words “Karru marri Odonna Loma molonu karrano”. A strange green cloud hovers over the kids; and as the kids look away, the cloud rushes into Slappy’s lifeless body.
The kids turn back to Slappy and the boy hugs his new “friend”.
Slappy gives the kids a angery glare as he says “Hello slaves, take me home”
